So here I sit with my OLD blue
colored Samsung model SGH A737. My cell no longer recognizes the
memory card so I may switch out with Hollis's OLD cell which is the
same as mine but red in color. I no longer have text on my phone
because in a fit to trim our budget, I stopped that $5.00 per month
service from AT&T for 200 messages per
month. Now the cheapest service AT&T has is $10.00 per month for
1,000 messages. I have not sent 1,000 messages in my entire life.
Since I did not like paying $5.00 I certainly will not pay $10.00, at
least until I get a job. I suppose I will continue to use Google
Voice for my SMS Texting.
I am still not a Geek but I am a bit
disappointed that Apple did not come out with a totally new iPhone. I
really like FaceTime and some of the apps are easier to play on the
phone versus the pc. I do have an issue with the large size of the
iPhone and I find it difficult to answer. I had the iPhone with me
the other day in the car. I was driving and the phone rang. I did not
know how to answer it. I pressed buttons and such but all to no
avail. I threw the phone to Wesli but it was to late. Wesli had to
give me a lesson on answering the iPhone.
Wesli has a new Apple iPod. It is
really cool and the device is just shy of a real cell phone. I set
the iPod up so she can FaceTime with mommy and friends, she can text
and even IM. She now makes fun of the PacMan game on my cell phone.
Hmmmm...no appreciation...
I suppose the family has come a long
way, technologically speaking, since my September 3, 2010 posting on
“A Nerd Scale”. But, I still do not own a Blue-Ray disk player
and I continue to replace old Microsoft based computers with a Linux
OS. However, I still wish Apple had come out with an iPhone 5, I would have upgraded.
